MEET OUR FAVORITE LOCAL MAKERS

Sadie Fox Studio

Sadie Fox Metter is a 3rd generation Coloradan and was born and raised in Denver. She’s been crafting and sewing for as long as she can remember and there’s absolutely nothing she can’t make. I’m always astounded that she seems to complete multiple makes on a daily basis all while being an amazing wife and raising 2 incredible daughters. She’s an absolute inspiration to many and has many new projects on the rise. The most exciting is the debut of her own line of patterns appearing in Sew News Magazine as of December 2019.

There’s nothing she can’t do and I’m proud to feature her products in store and in our gift baskets.

Wooly Wax Candles

I love everything about Wooly Wax Candles and the woman who makes them. Rachel Woolcot is another Colorado native who hand pours her custom scented candles in a wonderful studio/retail space on Tennyson Street. Wooly Wax scents are like no other and to me, evoke a sense of Colorado in the fall…warm, smoky, campfiery smells. Summer jams with herbal treats like cardamom and coriander then kicks in the woodsy with cedar, teakwood, pinon and sandalwood, to name a few. I mean, they’re really meant for all seasons and there’s not a scent I don’t love.

I’m super proud to carry her blends and also include in our gift boxes. Yum yum yum!

House Americana

House Americana was started by a Mother + Daughter duo of artisans who wanted to bring a bit more love and joy to our communities indoor oasis's.

They hand craft unique concrete planters for succulents and medium sized indoor plants that double as art sculptures in the home. All of their planters are made using only elements of the earth which gives the matte suede look that we are known for!

Amber Faye Art

Amber Sliter is from rural New York State who recolated to Denver, CO in 2020. She is currently a Digital Media Coordinator at the Community College of Denver. Amber received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and a Minor in Art History at the University at Buffalo.

Amber is a mixed media artist who creates with various mediums including oil painting, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, sculpture, installation, film and digital photography, and printmaking. She has built a career in photography, marketing, art direction, and communication post college.

Her work often plays with the balance between the natural and synthetic world. Previously, her sculptural oil paintings focused on cellular forms in our bodies and how cells can alter due to environmental substances. Currently, Amber’s work is flipped, focusing on quieting my mind through a meditative intuitive abstract painting process, knowing that stress can cause significant issues to our bodies in various scales. You will see the cellular and microscopic forms still inform her abstract hand.

Lux + Luca

Lux + Luca is one part snark  + sass + one part bold + elegance. Joan Jett meets Farrah Fawcett, Leather + Lace, Motor oil + Champagne, you get the idea. I wanted to create a jewelry line that was a perfect combination of Bold + Feminine while inspiring people to step outside their comfort zones + embracing the Grit + Grace that is our every day lives. Whether it's a stamped "Fuck It" cuff or a "Stay Gold" ring, Lux + Luca is for everyone with a little edge or anyone who wants some.

Persephone Candleworks

To make one Persephone Candleworks, you will need two sweethearts living in Colorado, and one cousin who resides in Iowa. Working harmoniously despite the distance - this trio of beings loves to bring a little something unique to the room!

The team deeply cares about the wellbeing of earth creatures - and has become fully fed-up with the toxic content of seemingly innocent home products meant to freshen living spaces.

Persephone Candleworks creates non-toxic scents that tell a story and set a mood; inspired by myth, magic, nature, and life's funny intricacies. Unique scent blends set the tone, while thoughtful label design resurrects imagery from forgotten antique storybooks, adding a touch of whimsy to your space.

Their hand-made, non-toxic products of the utmost quality are sure to become a part of your daily mood-setting rituals.
